Wendy Weir

I'm Wendy, the only female in a houseful of men, including my now college-aged son diagnosed with neuromuscular disease at age eleven. I began writing here out of fear for my then-preteen son's health, though my blog's focus has become anything but focused. I've found writing to be an outlet for everything that has either weighed on my mind and/or needed to be celebrated. I am a veteran big city school-based speech-language pathologist by profession. Music saves my life every single day, and I live for the band Barenaked Ladies.
